Neutral (Nu)

1st Tier Invocations:
Nu Alingua (Allspeak)
Incantation: Wisdom of the gods. Let me speak that which I cannot.
Fatigue Gained: 2 on activation and 2 per minute active
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Allows you to speak and comprehend any spoken language, including those of animals and monsters. This effect is immediately dispelled if your concentration is broken, such as when taking damage.
Description: Back in ancient times, tribes and groups of people spoke many different languages from one another. This invocation was developed primarily to allow foreign parties to speak with one another. Once the Main language was invented, the value of this invocation waned; however, its application to speak with animals and monsters still sees use.

Nu Camna (Befriend)
Incantation: Know that I will do no harm. Let this person feel my charm.
Fatigue Gained: 4
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Touch a unit. They must pass a Charisma check of 12 or higher. If they pass, this invocation has no effect. If they fail, they become friendly to you and become vulnerable to your suggestions for one minute. When this effect ends, the affected unit recognizes that they were forcibly befriended and becomes aggressive towards you.
Description: Often known as the “trickster’s spell,” this invocation was originally invented by an unnamed con artist, and became widely known for its rhyming incantation.

Nu Cluphon (Unlock)
Incantation: None
Fatigue Gained: 4
Effect: Unlocks an average, non-magical lock, or dispels a lock enchanted with the Nu Cluson invocation.
Description: Originally developed by wizards to be paired with Nu Cluson, this invocation became a problem with its wide use by thieves and bandits when it became more commonly known. Since then, many high-value possessions began to be kept in vaults and chests locked with magical locks.

Nu Cluson (Lock)
Incantation: None
Fatigue Gained: 4
Effect: Magically locks any lock indefinitely until dispelled by the caster or through the use of the Nu Cluphon invocation.
Description: Developed by wizards to be paired with Nu Cluphon, this invocation was used to easily enchant locks with a magical lock that used no key or combination.

Nu Fortid (Reinforce)
Incantation: Strengthen the body. Strengthen resolve.
Fatigue Gained: 3 per unit
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Touch any number of units (this may include yourself). For the next 4 hours, those units receive Character Level*3 bonus temporary Health Points. These Health Points can exceed the character’s maximum Health Points, but are lost forever once expended. Multiple uses of Nu Fortid do not stack, and only refreshes the duration and amount of temporary Health Points instead.
Description: Although its effects are small, this incantation was created during times of war to increase survivability.

Nu Javid (Nightvision)
Incantation: Eyes of darkness, give me sight.
Fatigue Gained: 2 on activation and 2 per hour active
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. You can see in the dark with perfect clarity.
Description: During times of war, this incantation was used in conjunction with other incantations to increase a scout’s ability to spy on enemies effectively.

Nu Kaston (Hardening)
Incantation: Form of stone, protect me from harm.
Fatigue Gained: 3 on activation and 3 per minute active
Full Cast Effect: You may choose yourself or another unit that you can touch as the target. The target’s skin hardens to become stone-like, their Physical Evasion increases by 2, and they take half damage from falls, falling objects, and Knockback damage.
Short Cast Effect: Same as Full Cast, but you gain 6 fatigue on activation and per minute instead of 3.
Description: Often thought to be an earth element invocation because of its incantation, Nu Kaston merely hardens one’s skin to the point of being stone-like. It does not actually turn the skin to stone.

Nu Larm (Alert)
Incantation: Nature’s land, warn me of this world’s dangers.
Fatigue Gained: 3 per hour active
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Target a circular area with a radius of up to 50’. For as many hours as you choose, whenever a unit enters the targeted area, you immediately become alerted to their presence even if you are asleep.
Description: This invocation is extremely useful for backpacking out in the wild. It can be fairly tiring to keep it active for extended periods of time, but the possibility of saving one’s life far outweighs the cost.

Nu Lategra (Detection)
Incantation: Show me in my mind’s eye those who dare to hide from me.
Fatigue Gained: 2 on activation and 2 per minute active
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. You become aware of and can locate all units within 40’ of you, regardless of your ability to see them. This effect is immediately dispelled if your concentration is broken, such as when taking damage.
Description: This invocation was created by bodyguards with high profile clients. It was imperative for them to protect their client from any threat imaginable, even those who could not be seen with the naked eye.

Nu Orguiso (Disguise)
Incantation: None
Fatigue Gained: 2 on activation and 2 per minute active
Effect: Your appearance changes however you want so long as the dimensions of your body stay roughly the same. The disguise is immediately dispelled if your concentration is broken, such as when taking damage.
Description: This invocation does not merely change appearance with some sort of illusion. It actually morphs the caster’s physical body to their desire. In ancient times, it was used as an infiltration tactic for assassins, but in modern days, it’s used for entertainment purposes.

Nu Scanda (Ascend)
Incantation: None
Fatigue Gained: 2 per unit
Effect: Touch any number of units (this may include yourself). For the next minute, those units have a vertical jump of their Strength Score*5’.
Description: Though not as popular as other movement invocations and relies on physical ability, Nu Scanda is a non-tiring way to have multiple people reach high places with the added bonus that only a handful of people need to know the invocation to apply it to a large group.

2nd Tier Invocations:
KaiNu Algadan (Access Storage)
Incantation: Master of space, open a portal to my area.
Fatigue Gained: 4
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Upon activating this invocation, draw a circle in the air or on the floor with your finger. You access the container you designated as your storage point with KaiNu Deskrepo via a small circular portal with a 1’ radius. While the portal is open, you are able to freely remove and insert objects into the designated container. The portal lasts indefinitely until dispelled.
Description: This invocation was specifically created to pair with KaiNu Deskrepo. As such, KaiNu Aldagan is an unusable invocation without it. Many wizards utilize the Deskrepo and Aldagan invocations to store their vast collection of trinkets, books, and spell ingredients, allowing them the freedom of travel or the convenience of a small magic shop while still having access to all their resources. Typically, their storage point is kept a complete secret even to the governments that would employ them.

KaiNu Arbos (Magic Mine)
Incantation: Create a trap for mine enemies.
Fatigue Gained: 6 per day active
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Creates a small floating orb of energy within 5’ of you which lasts as many days as the amount set by the Fatigue gained. If a unit comes into direct physical contact with the orb, it explodes, dealing 3d10 + 10 magical damage to all units within 5’ of the orb and is capable of destroying stone.
Description: During the Great Wars, KaiNu Arbos was invented to create massive areas of mines in the oceans to damage and slow down incoming enemy ships. In modern times, it is scarcely used because of how visible they are on land, but it can still be used to create areas that must be carefully navigated.

KaiNu Crinkka (Shrink)
Incantation: Reduce my size so that I may know the world of the small.
Fatigue Gained: 6 on activation and 6 per minute active
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Choose yourself or a willing target. The target becomes roughly the size and weight of a small mouse.
Description: Tiring and limited in application, this invocation no longer sees much use outside of bypassing extremely small places.

KaiNu Deskrepo (Designate Storage)
Incantation: Master of space, I claim this area as mine.
Fatigue Gained: 20
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Touch any sized container. The container can be a wide range of things, including but not limited to a small chest, a large warehouse, or even an open field. You simply must choose a space with which you want to occupy. The container is designated as your storage point. This invocation lasts indefinitely until dispelled.
Description: This invocation was specifically created to pair with KaiNu Algadan. As such, it is a useless invocation when used on its own.

KaiNu Dicomen (Telepathy)
Incantation: Words unspoken deaf to the ear. Let our minds be one.
Fatigue Gained: 4 on activation and 4 per minute active
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Touch any number of willing units. You and all touched units can speak to one another telepathically so long as they are within 500’ of you.
Description: Usually relegated to an individual with high stamina who would stay in the back lines, KaiNu Dicomen was used in squads in ancient times when silence was imperative to a mission or circumstances would prevent spoken word.

KaiNu Osdim (Door)
Incantation: None
Fatigue Gained: 10
Effect: Creates a passageway 10’ high and 5’ wide in a wall that is up to 3’ thick for one minute.
Description: Since this invocation’s creation, high security prisons have been standardized to have cells with walls at least 5’ thick at the risk of more dangerous convicts knowing KaiNu Osdim.

KaiNu Proteija (Projection)
Incantation: Out of body. Out of mind. Free me from my worldly bindings.
Fatigue Gained: 4 on activation and 4 per minute active
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. You project your spirit out of your physical body. While in spirit form, you are invisible and may pass through solid objects. Your spirit immediately returns to your body upon ending this spell, or when your physical body is harmed.
Description: Originally an extremely effective way of scouting without bringing harm to the scout, KaiNu Proteija lost some of its usefulness when magic detection became more popular.

KaiNu Rengo (Negate)
Incantation: None
Fatigue Gained: Varies
Effect: Casting KaiNu Rengo may be performed as a Quick Action. Completely negate the effects of a single magical spell that a unit is casting within 100’ of you. If it is a Basic skill or 1st tier invocation, you gain 10 fatigue. If it is an Advanced skill or 2nd tier invocation, you gain 30 fatigue. If it is a Daily skill or 3rd tier invocation, you gain 90 fatigue. If it is a magical attack performed by a monster, the monster performs a Spirit check with Advantage. You gain fatigue equal to 3 times the result.
Description: One of the most powerful invocations created, KaiNu Rengo has been known to neutralize even earthshattering magical spells at the cost of extreme exhaustion.

KaiNu Silphut (Silence)
Incantation: Forces of the Vast, hush the world at my behest.
Fatigue Gained: 6 per 20’ radius (max. 100’) and 4 per minute active
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Target a circular area up to 100’ away. That area becomes devoid of all sound, regardless of whether the origin of the sound comes from within or outside the area.
Description: This invocation is most commonly used for infiltration purposes, but can be easily noticed by those who realize they can’t hear anything.

KaiNu Somna (Sleep)
Incantation: Sands that bring a heavy burden, sprinkle down and bring forth slumber.
Fatigue Gained: 6 per 20 Health Points
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. This invocation affects a circular area with a radius of 30’ up to 100’ away. Units within the area with a current Health Point value equal to or less than the amount set by the Fatigue gained must pass a Vitality check of 13 or higher. If they fail, they fall asleep for one minute.
Description: During war times, KaiNu Somna was used to temporarily incapacitate soldiers and guards without harming them.

KaiNu Varsio (Mental Breach)
Incantation: Forces of the Vast, burst through the walls of their mind.
Fatigue Gained: 8 on activation and 4 per minute active
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Choose a unit within 100’ of you. Perform an opposing Knowledge check against the unit. If you win, you can read the mind of the chosen unit and search for information they may know. A unit affected by KaiNu Varsio is not aware that their mind is being read.
Description: Previously used to strip information from captured enemies, modern use of this invocation without a license can lead to serious legal implications.

KaiNu Yevliff (Animate)
Incantation: Objects of the world without heart, come to life and serve me.
Fatigue Gained: 4 per object on activation and 4 per object per minute active
Full Cast Effect: Choose any number of inanimate objects within 20’ of you whose largest measurement does not exceed 6’. You have full control of those objects for the duration of this invocation as long as they stay within 100’ of you. This effect is immediately dispelled if your concentration is broken, such as when taking damage.
Short Cast Effect: Same as Full Cast, but you gain 8 fatigue per object on activation instead of 4.
Description: Although it can be tiring to use, individuals who are backed into a corner against multiple foes can find a way to even the odds with this invocation.

3rd Tier Invocations:
VaeNu Exona (Exile)
1st round Incantation: O great forces of the Vast, that which bends the fabrics of reality; I call upon thy grace.
2nd round Incantation: Warp the space around us with thy grand power, and remove my foe from the world.
Fatigue Gained: Varies
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Choose a unit within 100’ of you. The chosen unit is exiled to the moon for one minute. If the unit is Tiny or Small size, you gain 20 fatigue. If the unit is Normal size, you gain 40 fatigue. If the unit is Large size, you gain 60 fatigue. If the unit if Giant size, you gain 80 fatigue. If the unit is Massive size, you gain 100 fatigue.
Description: This invocation was originally created to kill the intended target, but it was through VaeNu Exona that scholars confirmed their theory that the moon is actually habitable. It came as no surprise, however, since the moon is an amalgamation of Ebb’s heart and a large amount of Flow’s energy.

VaeNu Feldanura (Nullification)
Incantation: O great forces of the Vast, that which bends the fabrics of reality, shatter all perceptions of magic.
Fatigue Gained: 10 on activation and 10 per 10 seconds active
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Target a circular area with a 100’ radius within 100’ of you. All magical effects within the area are nullified, and units within the area cannot use skills, invocations, or divine favors.
Description: Possibly the most powerful invocation created by Merlin himself, VaeNu Feldanura can negate even the magic of the gods themselves if they dare enter the area of effect, and is famous for having a short incantation despite its powerful effect. Merlin created this invocation in one of his many attempts to break the seal that has kept the goddess Flow crystallized, but even its vast power could not nullify the combined magic of the thousands who created the seal.

VaeNu Maelgra (Life Bomb)
1st round Incantation: I call upon the land, the sea, and the air. Grant me thine energies, and gather to me.
2nd round Incantation: Those who would call me thine ally, if thou art willing, lend me thy strength, and we shall be victorious.
3rd round Incantation: Our power will bring ruin to those who oppose us.
Fatigue Gained: 50
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Upon activating this invocation, you and all willing units within 100’ of you may pay any amount of Health Points. Conjures an immense ball of flow above you which can be thrown with a range of 300’. Upon impact, the ball of flow explodes and deals 12d12 + 120 magical damage to all units in a circular area with a 30’ radius and is capable of destroying stone objects. VaeNu Maelgra turns the affected area into a crater of Uneven Terrain. The damage is increased by the amount of Health Points you and all willing units paid upon activation.
Description: The origin of VaeNu Maelgra is shrouded in mystery, and there have only ever been four recorded cases of it being used. In all cases, spectators have noted strong winds and aurora-like lights emanating from the bomb, which became stronger as more beings contributed to its energy. Legends say this invocation was used by a righteous man to defeat an evil monster that could absorb other beings.

VaeNu Myuta (Transmute)
Incantation: Forces of the Vast, change the form of mine offerings to be of better use to me.
Fatigue Gained: 6 per 1 lb. of materials transmuted
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Transmutes materials into anything else made from the same amount of materials. For example, 3 lb. of steel ingots can be transmuted into a steel pole that weighs 3 lb. VaeNu Myuta can also transmute materials into gold nuggets of equal value.
Description: This invocation is useful for combining materials that the caster would otherwise not have the knowledge to properly combine; however, it is completely unknown how VaeNu Myuta could possibly know the value of an item, or if the value of items were based on how much gold it transmuted the items to.

VaeNu Parfikybo (Perfect Cube)
1st round Incantation: Blessings of the Vast, that which warps space itself, grant me thine infinite sheltering power.
2nd round Incantation: Take form around me. A brilliant room of protection. An absolute defense.
Fatigue Gained: 16 on activation and 16 per 10 seconds active
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Creates an indestructible 25’ x 25’ x 25’ cube of solid flow around you. Nothing can enter or exit the cube.
Description: VaeNu Parfikybo was created to be the ultimate form of defense. Although it is extremely exhausting to maintain, it can buy just enough time for others within the cube to prepare for a counterattack.

VaeNu Reclarta (Replication)
1st round Incantation: O great forces of the Vast, that which bends the fabrics of reality, hear my word as I call upon thee.
2nd round Incantation: Give new purpose. Give new life. Let one’s form be more than its own.
3rd round Incantation: Power of the law of life. Seize this body’s image and let it take new shape.
Fatigue Gained: 150
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. Choose yourself, or touch a willing unit. Create a perfect clone of the unit which has 20% of the unit’s maximum Health Points and 50% of the unit’s maximum Flow Points. The clone lasts indefinitely until destroyed or dispelled. Control of the clone may be shared between you and the unit the clone was made from, and is infinite in range. Clones created by this invocation cannot cast this invocation.
Description: VaeNu Reclarta was mostly famously used by Merlin in his younger years to allow him to teach the ways of flow manipulation to as many people as possible. It’s sometimes used to create temporary armies, but because of how much of a toll it takes on the body, it’s a slow and costly process to even hire someone who knows the invocation.

VaeNu Temprano (Pause)
1st round Incantation: O great forces of the Vast, that which controls the law of time, I call upon thine infinite power.
2nd round Incantation: The power that exists outside the four laws of the Vast and bends them to its will.
3rd round Incantation: Grasp the hands of time tightly in thy palms and freeze the world in my name.
Fatigue Gained: 30 per 10 seconds active (max. 30 seconds)
Effect: This invocation cannot be Short Casted. You exist outside the confines of regular time for the duration of this invocation. Although time passes for you, the time of the world around you appears as if it has stopped completely. From the perspective of someone whose time was stopped by you, all of your actions while time was stopped happen simultaneously.
Description: Argued to be as powerful as VaeNu Feldanura, VaeNu Temprano’s practical applications despite its short duration and exhausting demand on the body are considered to be nigh limitless. Although its time stopping properties are universal, some beings who are exceptionally resistant to magic can be immune to the effects.
